Prague and Germany

After Switzerland, I worked my way through Austria, and Hungary on my way to Prague to visit Robley(longwinded) Evans. It's nice to have friends in other countries. There are some great shots of the city of Prague including several of the famous, "Charles Bridge", which is where many people go to propose to each other. You will also notice the pictures of the castle. It has the guards at the front gate. Just like in England, they can move unless someone gets to close to their space. The castle is amazing - you walk up what seems like an endless staircase to the lookout. After Prague, Robley and I went to Berlin, Germany for the Love Parade. There was 750,000 people there, it was off the hook, and is the largest Rave in the world by far. Unfortunately, there were too many men, and they got a lot of parade, but not enough love - there were fights in the subway on the way home. We were lucky not to get caught up in one. You will also see some pics of what is left of the Berlin Wall. There is one pic of me standing in front of the Brandenburg Gate in "no-mans" land. People would have been shot here back when the wall was in tact.

After leaving Berlin, Robley and I went to stay in a castle in Bamberg, Germany. The castle is called the Altenberg, and is a famous place where the princes used to hang out. I think the story goes that there were seven princes, and the Altenberg was built on the highest point out of seven points in the area. The castle was amazing - we arrived at night, and the lights were shinning on the outside walls - it was surreal. I only wish I had had a special lady there - it was quite romantic...;) We stayed there for three days before I headed back to the airport, and Robley back to Prague. What an awesome month-long trip - I was grateful to have friends to visit in old Europe...
